Dr David Smith has had a Plastic Surgery office or shared an office in the Edina Southdale Medical Building since May of 1985. His patients benefit from years of training and experience.

Proudly since 1989 the practice has been built around our AAAASF accredited on-site Plastic Surgery office OR suite. AAAASF is the "Gold Standard" of accreditation recognized by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Minnesota has only five of these special plastic surgery centers. Accredited in-office surgery with selected special staff, instruments and equipment gives us necessary tools to provide our best results emphasizing comfort, quick recovery, privacy and cost.

Our patients come from Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota as well as Minnesota including the Iron Range, Duluth-Superior, St Cloud, Rochester, Albert Lea, Minneapolis, St Paul, Anoka, Woodbury, Maple Grove, Wayzata, Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, and Burnesville. Specialty

Cosmetic surgery only of the face and body. That is all we do. Keeping a narrow focus helps us give optimal service and deliver great results.

Our common surgeries are: (1) Quick Recovery Silicone or Saline Breast Implants and Augmentation with or without Breast Lift or Breast Reduction. (2) Conservative lifts of the Neck, Cheeks, Eyes and Endoscopic Brow Lift, avoiding an unnatural spotty "polka dot" appearance. We have the special instruments and expertise to perform brow or forhead lifts by short scar endoscopy. Fat injection including stem cells to augment tissues is nearly always part of the procedure. (3) We have a great Mini Facelift for patients to tighten the neck or lift the cheeks. (4) We have Mentor Ultrasonic Liposuction or small canula technique with tumescent anesthesia for body contouring. Sometime we reinject some fat for contour such as in the buttocks. We remove fatty tissue for tightening and repositioning of excess skin. (5) Combined single day lifts of the chest and tummy for mothers following pregnancy and children. This is sometimes called a "Mommy Makeover." (6) Tummy Tuck and Liposuction of the hips and thighs to look trimmer. (7) Tummy Tuck, Arm Lifts and Lower Body lifts with Liposuction following significant weight loss by diet or a bariatric surgery such as Gastric Bypass, Stomach Stapling or Lap Banding. (8) Male Plastic Surgery is commonly eye, face and neck lifts, nose surgery, and also liposuction and tightening of the chest for gynecomastia and abdominal lipo or tummy tuck. These surgeries are normally done privately in our office OR.
